Ready for a Change?

“It is difficult to resist the conclusion that twentieth-century man has decided to abolish himself. Tired of the struggle to be himself, he has created boredom out of his own affluence, impotence out of his own erotomania, and vulnerability out of his own strength. He himself blows the trumpet that brings the walls of his own cities crashing down until at last, having educated himself into imbecility, having drugged and polluted himself into stupefaction, he keels over a weary, battered old brontosaurus and becomes extinct.” Malcolm Muggeridge

You've tried it all. You followed philosophers and saw their end instead of their seductive beginning. You followed the movie stars and saw their hypocrisy and selfishness. You followed the rock stars and saw their burned out bodies and pleasure in nothing. You've been bombed, stoned, orgasmic, euphoric, "looked fantastic", athletic, majestic, corporated, educated, and infatuated- and you now have nothing to see but death.

Jesus still calls. His death can cover all your guilt and pain. If your heart still beats, His offer still stands. Come on. If you follow Jesus hard for 15 years, and your life is still trashed. Let me know and I'll recant my faith.

So let me ask you- Have you tried Jesus?
